Arranged over two floors our hotel is part of AquaCity Poprad and has already won plaudits for its style, comfort and value for money as well as its ecological practices.

Voted as Slovakia’s best hotel in 2005, there are no compromises when it comes to offering our guests a pleasant and relaxing place to stay.

Many people choose to come to AquaCity in the winter in order to combine a great skiing and winter sports holiday, with the opportunity to relax in our heated pools, spas and saunas after a hard day on the slopes. In summer they come just to enjoy the facilities of our water park and the luxury of our hotels and their surroundings. However AquaCity has more to offer than just itself. The main High Tatras hotel restaurant is open all day everyday from 07:00 right through to 22:00. The dining room itself features magnificent picture windows on three sides, affording spectacular views of the High Tatra Mountains in the distance and over the water park’s outdoor thermal pools.

AquaCity is built over a massive subterranean, geothermally heated, natural aquifer which is over 70 km long by 30 km wide and up to 500 metres deep in parts. This underground lake has been slowly filling over millions of years with crystal clear, perfectly pure water from the streams of the High Tatra Mountains. The water at AquaCity contains magnesium, calcium and hydro-carbonates. This naturally heated water is used to heat the hotels, provide all the hot water in the bathrooms, the heated water in the indoor and outdoor pools and, via underground pipes, it also helps to keep the car parks ice free throughout the winter.

Whatever the weather whatever the season and after a hard day on the ski slopes, the geothermally heated pools at AquaCity are the perfect place to relax, unwind and soothe those tired muscles. There is a range of pools on offer including an Olympic-sized swimming pool, the twisting Black Hole flume, gentle children’s slides on the Mayan Pyramid and a relaxing poolside bar; a Roman bath experience for the 21st century. Whether you come for fun, fitness or therapy, AquaCity is the perfect pure water experience.
