Short description

Hotel located in the Old Town area of Kosice centre, walking distance to the attractions of this second largest city in Slovakia.

Walking south of the hotel you reach the main street, Hvlana, where you will meet many intriguing sights, including the Immaculata, the State Theatre and the imposing and beautiful St. Elisabeth Cathedral, built in Gothic style.

Around the city centre you will find many other architectural sights, plus shops and places to eat and drink, all without straying far from the hotel. Stroll to Mestsky Park, or take a few steps north for the Eastern-Slovakia Museum.

If you plan to travel further afield, Kosice is surrounded by countryside and national parks. See the small village of Levoce with its old castle.

The restaurant offers a wide choice of meals and beverages, plus a daily lunch menu. Breakfast is served to order, as part of room service.

The restaurant is open daily from 10:30 to 22:00 Monday to Friday, and from 13:00 to 22:00 at weekends.

Area information

Košice is the metropolis of Eastern Slovakia situated in the valley of the River Hornad, with the Čierna Hora mountains bordering it to the north. The central zone of Košice is composed of approximately 500 monuments awarded with the Urban Preservation of Monuments.

Jakab Palace (1.2km) - Built using stone from the renovation of St. Elisabeth Cathedral, this palace was constructed in the 19th century.

Levoča (60km) - A town in eastern Slovakia with a historic centre, north-west of Košice.

Tourists information

The City Residence is located in central Kosice, 10km from the international airport and 1km from the coach and train station.

By Car:
- Take the D1 highway from Bratislava through Poprad to Kosice.
- Or take the E571 from Bratislava to Košice through Rožňava.
- Or, for the international route from Hungary take highway E 71 to Košice.

Remarks

Guest can check in from 13:00 on the day of arrival. Guest has to leave the room by 11:00 on the day of departure. If guest does not leave the room by 11:00 and does not inform the receptionist in advance about late check-out, City Residence has a right to move the guest’s belongings. If City Residence doesn’t have a confirmed reservation for the room, which was not released by the client by agreed hour, City Residence will charge the guest full price for another day's stay.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 5 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 12.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
EUR 0.80 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the hotel rooms only and is free of charge.
